Pedro believes in design excellence and appropriate solutions that are site specific and unique, informed amongst other criteria by the client's brief, the site informants and the financial constraints of each project. He furthermore believes in the power of the diagram as a tuning fork in the iterative design process and subscribes to the thesis that the principles of good city building are equally relevant in the design of buildings as part of the larger urban tapestry. This approach has received acknowledgement in his previous practice winning five national competitions and the receipt of eighteen national merit and other associated awards. Since joining Paul Davis + Partners as a partner, Pedro has expanded the Urban Design expertise and portfolio most notably with projects in St. Petersburg, Russia and Pisa, Italy. He has most recently been involved in a range of projects in contextually sensitive areas, seeking to maximise residential value in both regeneration and new build projects. Trademark Design developed a trademark for Pedro's use when he was between projects. A simple escutcheon of the master's proportion of man is an explanation of the Architect's beliefs in a minimal form.
