Trademarks
Aquafresh was a prospering brand behind Crest and Colgate and was supported by advertising promoting the fresh breath, whiter teeth and anti-tartar ingredients in the stripes. Major markets included USA, UK, EU and the East. This diverse market distribution played a key role in the disparate packaged brand compliance, resulting in costly bespoke advertising having to be created for virtually every country and language. Trademark Design presented a strategy to introduce a global brand compliance programme that would allow the brand to focus on the same brand proposition. This not only reduced cost of packaging and design but advertising production. Design details included simplification of the Aquafresh logotype and the famous "nerdle" (striped toothpaste graphic device) illustrated here.
