3 Monkeys is located in a former Nat West Bank Building. The interior of the building has undergone a dramatic change from the original bank decor. Guests enter over a stunning bridge overlooking the stylised bar area below. The simple, minimal decor contrasts dramatically with the rich complex cuisine of India. A show kitchen adds live action and colour to the restaurant. Trademark Design developed a marked difference to what was expected for the identity of the restaurant. In place of the expected hear no, see no, speak no evil symbol of 3 monkeys, we created a set of simple line drawings of monkeys in natural monkey poses, which by nature are extraordinary. Every application featured a set of 3 monkeys. The exterior neon sign of the monkeys are in 3 layers and digitised to illuminate 9 different sequences.
